Prince George’s County Board of License Commissioners voted 4-0 last Wednesday to revoke the liquor license of a College Park bar connected to last month’s stabbing of four patrons.

Last week’s public hearing addressed a sting operation Sept. 23 at the Thirsty Turtle. Conducted by the University of Maryland Police Department, the sting operation is called an “integrity test.”

During the integrity test, two underage students were allegedly able to enter and purchase alcohol at the bar after showing employees of the Thirsty Turtle underage driver’s licenses. Once they purchased two beers, the drinks were confiscated and the bar cited, university police said.

University of Maryland Police Maj. Christopher Jagoe said this is not the first time the bar had been notified for underage drinking.
